Our Day Workshops
Our day workshops are given to smaller groups, and are part of our "Shoot like a Pro" series. You have plenty of time to explore and master the skills that advance your photography. We practice on different photographic subjects, exchange tips, and provide feedback on the images you take, so you can really remember what you lean. We also provide lunch and morning/afternoon refreshments
Introduction to Digital Photography (101)
A day workshop covering many topics that assume no previous knowledge of your camera - including:
- First principles of all photography
- Understand how our Digital Camera works, so you the photographer are in charge
- Handling our Camera
- Camera Modes & what they mean
- Exposure & Metering to improve your photos
- Fundamentals of Focusing
- Lens/Zoom selection to inject creativity
- Recommended Accessories
Improving Photographic Technique (102)
A day workshop and designed to follow-on from course 101 above... it includes 'Manual' photography techniques:
- Awareness of light at each time of day
- Advanced Exposure & Creativity
- Aperture depth of field
- Shutter Speed creative movement, freezing your subject, length of opening
- ISO grain/noise, vs bright colours
- Advanced Composition
- Photographic Rules
- Practical Care tips for our Camera
Each day workshop (101 & 102) is available individually.
